A top of the line performer in Airmar's professional line of fishfinder transducers for vessels 9m (30ft) and up. Super low ringing for accurate discrimination between closely spaced targets. Recommended for solid fiberglass hulls. Non-toxic anti-freeze is used to fill the tank. Fiberglass resin or Marine-Tex is used to adhere tank to the hull. Maximize the performance of any 1kW or 2kW echosounder with the R199 in-hull transducer. Designed with Airmar's exclusive Broadband Ceramic Technology, the 200kHz ceramic provides excellant resolution without sacrificing sensitivity. The R199 packs an 88mm (3.5in) broadband ceramic at 200kHz and 15-elements operation at 50kHz - just like its externally mounted cousin the R99. this transducer is so precise that fish are no longer concealed by their surroundings! Since the R199 can "shoot through the hull", it delivers outstanding performance with all the advantages of an in-hull design - no hole in the boat or turbulance to the propeller. And because it's in-hull, the R199 will read clearly at high speeds. At 30 + knots (34 MPH), this transducer tracks the bottom wit hease.
